Bay leaves are 100,000 times more potent than Botox. They erase wrinkles, even at 70 years old. Leave an “OK” to see the recipe in the first comment.

That claim is not scientifically credible. Bay leaves are a useful culinary herb, but there is no good evidence that they are “100,000 times more potent than Botox” or that they can erase wrinkles—even at age 70.

Bay leaves contain plant compounds with antioxidant activity, but that is very different from clinically demonstrated wrinkle removal. Botox works by temporarily reducing muscle activity through injections; a bay-leaf preparation applied to the skin cannot be assumed to have the same effect.

If someone wants to use bay leaf on their skin, caution is warranted: homemade herbal mixtures can cause irritation or allergic contact dermatitis, particularly when concentrated essential oils are involved. Don’t apply undiluted bay-leaf essential oil to the face.

For evidence-based wrinkle care, the basics are much less dramatic but more reliable:

  • Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30+
  • A good moisturizer
  • A topical retinoid/retinol, when appropriate for your skin
  • Professional treatments if you want more substantial improvement

Bottom line: There is no credible “bay leaf Botox” recipe that erases wrinkles. A post asking you to comment “OK” to reveal a secret recipe is a classic engagement tactic, not evidence of a proven anti-aging treatment.
