A quick, sweet-savory chicken dinner that works well with rice and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb (700 g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ÂĽ cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger

  3. Add the sauce: Pour the teriyaki mixture over the chicken and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  4. Thicken: Mix cornstarch with water, stir it into the skillet, and cook for another 1–2 minutes until glossy and thickened.
  5. Serve: Spoon over steamed rice and add broccoli, carrots, or another favorite vegetable.

Food-safety tip: Chicken should reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving.
