My nana taught me this hack to make dusty blinds sparkle in 2 mins with 0 work. Here’s how it works

The “2-minute, zero-work” claim is a little exaggerated, but there is a very easy old-school trick for dusty blinds.

✨ The quick blind-cleaning hack

  1. Close the blinds so the slats are flat.
  2. Put a clean microfiber cloth or old cotton sock over your hand.
  3. Lightly dampen it with water and add one tiny drop of dish soap if the blinds are greasy.
  4. Run your fingers along each slat, gently wiping from one end to the other.
  5. Finish with a dry microfiber cloth to remove moisture and prevent streaks.

For horizontal blinds, work from top to bottom so dust doesn’t fall onto areas you’ve already cleaned.

Avoid soaking the slats, particularly if they’re wooden or laminated. And skip harsh cleaners that can damage the finish.

For regular dust, a dry microfiber cloth is usually all you need—the fibers trap the dust instead of simply pushing it around.
