If you want a simple, chemical-free-ish way to clean oven door glass, try this:
🧽 Baking Soda + Dish Soap Method
-
Make sure the oven is completely cool.
-
Mix ½ cup baking soda with a few tablespoons of water to make a thick paste.
-
Add a small drop of dish soap if you want extra grease-cutting power.
-
Spread the paste over the glass, avoiding the door’s vents and seals.
-
Leave it for 20–30 minutes.
-
Wipe gently with a damp microfiber cloth or non-scratch sponge.
-
For stubborn baked-on spots, use a plastic scraper at a shallow angle—avoid metal blades.
-
Wipe again with clean water, then dry with a microfiber cloth for a streak-free finish.
Tip: For the final shine, a little diluted white vinegar on a cloth can help remove residue—but don’t mix vinegar directly with the baking-soda paste; the reaction mostly neutralizes the cleaning agents.
Avoid abrasive powders, steel wool, and harsh oven-cleaner chemicals on the glass unless your oven manufacturer specifically says they’re safe.
