10 Symptoms of Pancreatic That Will SHOCK YOU

10 Warning Signs of Pancreatic Problems You Shouldn’t Ignore

If by “pancreatic” you mean pancreatic diseases, including pancreatic cancer, symptoms can be subtle and may have many other causes. Having one of these symptoms does not mean you have cancer, but persistent or unexplained changes deserve medical attention.

  1. Persistent upper-abdominal pain — pain may spread toward the back.
  2. Unexplained weight loss — losing weight without trying can be an important warning sign.
  3. Jaundice — yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, sometimes accompanied by dark urine or pale stools.
  4. Loss of appetite or feeling full quickly — a persistent change in appetite can occur.
  5. Nausea or vomiting — particularly when persistent or accompanied by abdominal pain.
  6. Changes in bowel movements — greasy, pale, floating, or unusually foul-smelling stools can occur when pancreatic enzymes aren’t reaching the intestine properly.
  7. New or worsening diabetes — pancreatic disease can sometimes affect insulin production and blood-sugar control.
  8. Persistent indigestion or bloating — ongoing digestive symptoms should be evaluated rather than assumed to be ordinary indigestion.
  9. Fatigue or weakness — especially when it occurs alongside weight loss or other unexplained symptoms.
  10. Back pain — particularly persistent back pain occurring together with upper-abdominal discomfort or weight loss.

When to seek medical care

Jaundice, persistent abdominal or back pain, unexplained weight loss, or new digestive problems should be evaluated by a healthcare professional, especially if they persist or worsen.

If you develop severe abdominal pain, repeated vomiting, fainting, confusion, or yellowing of the skin with fever, seek urgent medical attention.

Importantly, these symptoms can also be caused by much more common conditions such as gallstones, ulcers, pancreatitis, liver disease, or digestive disorders. Symptoms alone cannot diagnose pancreatic cancer.
