If the post says “if you always sleep on your right side, you should have…”, it’s likely setting up a health claim that may be exaggerated.

Sleeping on your right side: what to know

  • For most healthy adults, right-side sleeping is perfectly normal and is not, by itself, a sign of a health problem.

  • Acid reflux/heartburn: Sleeping on the left side often reduces nighttime reflux compared with the right side.

  • Heart conditions: There isn’t a general rule that everyone should avoid the right side. People with heart disease should follow their clinician’s advice rather than social-media claims.

  • Pregnancy: Side sleeping is commonly recommended later in pregnancy, but the appropriate position can depend on the individual and stage of pregnancy.

  • Shoulder/neck pain: Staying on one side for a long time can aggravate pressure-related pain. Changing positions and using appropriate pillow support can help.

  • Snoring or sleep apnea: Side sleeping can sometimes reduce airway obstruction compared with sleeping on the back, although it doesn’t treat the underlying condition.

So there is no universal “you should have…” consequence simply because you always sleep on your right side. If you send me the complete post or screenshot, I can break down each claim and tell you what is medically supported versus misleading.
