3 Baking Soda Recipes to Burn Belly Fat

There aren’t any scientifically supported baking-soda recipes that burn belly fat. Drinking baking soda to lose weight can actually be harmful.

Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) doesn’t selectively burn abdominal fat. Taking too much can cause excess sodium intake, metabolic alkalosis, nausea, vomiting, electrolyte disturbances, and—in severe cases—heart or kidney problems.

If your goal is reducing abdominal fat, a safer evidence-based approach is:

  • Eat mostly minimally processed foods and create a modest calorie deficit if weight loss is appropriate.
  • Prioritize protein and fiber to improve fullness.
  • Do regular aerobic activity plus resistance training.
  • Get adequate sleep.
  • Limit sugary drinks and excess alcohol.

And be wary of “detox” drinks or mixtures containing baking soda, lemon, vinegar, or similar ingredients. They don’t provide a shortcut to fat loss.

If you tell me your age, sex, height, weight, and activity level, I can help you estimate a reasonable calorie target and build a simple plan for reducing overall body fat.
