Two fruits that support your body’s collagen production 🍊🫐
There are no fruits proven to regenerate knee cartilage or rebuild lost collagen inside the knee. However, some fruits provide nutrients your body needs to make and maintain collagen, particularly vitamin C.
1. 🍊 Oranges and other citrus fruits
Oranges, grapefruit, lemons, and mandarins are rich in vitamin C, which is essential for normal collagen synthesis.
2. 🥝 Kiwi
Kiwi is also an excellent source of vitamin C, along with other antioxidants and fiber.
Other vitamin-C-rich choices include strawberries, guava, papaya, and bell peppers (although peppers aren’t fruits in the culinary sense).
What about knee pain?
If knee pain is caused by osteoarthritis or cartilage loss, eating these fruits won’t regenerate damaged cartilage by themselves. A balanced diet can support overall tissue health, but managing knee problems may also involve appropriate exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, physical therapy, and medical treatment when needed.
Bottom line: Think of vitamin-C-rich fruit as supporting normal collagen production, not as a treatment that can rebuild worn-out knee cartilage.
